EXCLUSIVE: Breakfast, brunch restaurant with full bar opening in Broward
Another Broken Egg Cafe is about to booze up brunch in Pembroke Pines with the debut of its newest restaurant April 11.
The soon-to-open eatery at 175 N. Hiatus Road will feature cocktails that are new to the chain, such as the Nutella-Laced Latte. The new location is one of many Another Broken Egg Cafes that Double R Restaurant Group will open in South Florida. The company signed an agreement to open 40 locations between Key West and South of Orlando.
"We intend to open four to five locations a year," Stuart Ottinger, franchisee and president of Double R Restaurant Group, told the South Florida Business Journal. "This will be our eighth location in South Florida and they've been a great hit in the communities we've opened in."
The 3,150-square-foot restaurant in Pembroke Pines will have 90 seats indoors and 24 seats outdoors on an open-air, dog-friendly patio with its own bar service.
"We're confident Pembroke will be a successful restaurant," Ottinger said.
The restaurant group is currently looking for more sites in Miami-Dade County. Each store the company opens creates about 40 to 45 permanent jobs, Ottinger added.
ABEC has a total of 55 locations, including units in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Jupiter. According to the company's website, more are opening in Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Pembroke Pines and Pompano Beach. The chain serves breakfast, brunch, lunch items priced from $8 to $15 a person. They're open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
